Did You Know?

  • Striper Spawning

In early spring mature stripers move from the ocean into the fresh water estuaries and rivers.  The rise in the coastal water temperatures triggers spawning.

  • Eel

Striped bass always hit an eel, head first and a blue fish always nips the tail.

  • Repeating your Catch

If you land and release a nice striper as soon as possible and return your chosen lure or bait to the water, chances are that you will repeat your catch with a similar size line sider.

"With my midnight stare recognizing the different darkness in this ocean, my senses seem saturated. The black, endless ocean stands up in front like a wall of thunder. The smells of my striper safari wisp through the tumultuous crashing of the surf....and I melt into being, all part of it." -Striper Mike
